Why doesn't your group use instruments?

We believe that the human voice is the most versatile instrument ever created therefore we are blessed with the ability to sing and make melody with our hearts unto the Lord.  The human voice can also perform both rhythmic sounds and beats along with unparallel harmony.  Its single range is amazing and best of all, our instrument is with us at all times.

What is A Cappella music anyway?

A Cappella - Main Entry: a cap·pel·la Function: adverb or adjective : without instrumental accompaniment.

Arrangements of popular music for small a cappella ensembles typically include one voice singing the lead melody, one singing a rhythmic bass line, and the remaining voices contributing choral or polyphonic accompaniment.

People do not just always sing the words when singing a cappella; some also emulate instrumentation by reproducing the melody with their vocal cords.  Contemporary a cappella includes many vocal bands who add vocal percussion or beatboxing to create a pop/rock sound, in some cases very similar to bands with instruments, however it is still all A Cappella...all vocal...all the time.
